VISI - SCROLL: EOG-Based Hands-Free Object Selection System

Project Summary

A bio-potential EOG device that enables motor-disabled users to control computers using eye movements, offering hands-free access to navigate and scroll digital interfaces.

RESEARCH OVERVIEW & DETAILS

Project Scope & Details

This project aims to recreate BCI and EOG devices that enable motor-disabled users to control their computers using only their eye movements, offering hands-free access to navigate and scroll through digital interfaces.

ARCHITECTURAL & SCIENTIFIC HIGHLIGHTS
01.

Corneal-Retinal Dipole Signal Capture

Extracts continuous bioelectric potential deltas generated by ocular movements to track gaze vectors in real time.

02.

Active 50Hz/60Hz Hardware Notch Filtering

Eliminates mains electrical hum and muscle artifact noise, delivering clean saccadic signal trajectories.

03.

Hands-Free Spatial Object Selection

Translates discrete horizontal and vertical saccades into spatial cursor navigation for motor-impaired users.

04.

Assistive Motor Rehabilitation Interface

Enables completely hands-free environmental interaction, wheelchair control, and assistive communication.
